The residents of this very quaint Curtis Park home were already in mid remodel when Kristen was brought in to help identify color, lighting and enhance the existing plan. An organic design process unfolded- listening intently to clients’ tastes and preferences and from that point introducing and moving forward with color and light. Both partners personalities are uniquely reflected in the thoughtfulness of each room- subtle and bold. Bold in color and lighting, subtle in textures, patterns and illumination. A deep magenta jewel tone was applied to the walls of the dining room, topped with a glamorous drum chandelier- inviting a lively party any day of the week. LED strip lighting was added above the crown molding further enhancing the drama and a warm glow from above. The dining room table in an espresso stain centers and grounds the room.
Color carries through to the living room, a Crate and Barrel sofa anchors the far end of the room, while a traditional love-seat in flannel gray provides a great place for reading. A blend of traditional and transitional elements make this home inviting and playful.
