A traditional 1930s pre-war home needed a fresh, updated look. The family of 5 wanted to open up space on the first floor to allow family to convene comfortably around a central area. Color palettes were lightened up giving the cozy rooms a sense of airiness and volume.
The colorful backsplash and leather chairs are a fun addition, enhancing the bright, airy, and cheerful kitchen space.
A custom designed built in was added to the living room. Bathrooms were updated integrating both traditional a contemporary elements.
The staircase leads to the open floor plan below. The living, dining, lounging, and cooking areas flow together.
